Emergency Dental Treatment

A GP is not adequately trained to handle dental issues such as toothaches, abscesses, or complications following dental treatment. We are unable to prescribe antibiotics, as a full assessment by a dentist is required before any medication can be given.

We strongly recommend that patients register with a dentist and attend regular check-ups for appropriate routine and emergency dental care.

For emergency dental treatment outside normal working hours, registered patients should contact their dental surgery. The surgery should have an answerphone message with instructions on how to access out-of-hours dental care.

If no message is provided, please call NHS 111 for information on dental services in your area.

Please note that you may be required to pay for emergency NHS dental treatment, depending on your circumstances.

Family Planning

Patients can consult our practice nurse during any clinic session for family planning advice or to discuss preparing for pregnancy.

First Contact Physiotherapy

NHS Health Check

The NHS Health Check is a free, thorough health assessment available to adults in England aged 40 to 74. It is designed to detect early signs of conditions like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and type 2 diabetes. By identfying potential health issues early, the NHS Health Check supports patients by taking proactive steps to enhance their health and lower the risk of serious conditions.

Social Prescribers

Social prescribing link workers connect individuals with local community activities and services designed to enhance their health and wellbeing. A crucial aspect of their role will be building relationships with the people they support by carefully listening to what matters to them and what motivates them.

Social prescribing is an integral part of Universal Personalised Care. This approach links people to activities, groups, and services within their community to address the practical, social, and emotional needs that impact their health and wellbeing (NHS England).

Please note that we are a non-urgent service for individuals aged 18 and over.
